An update from Peter Richardson

It’s been a busy start to the year for all of us at InfoMedix, and it doesn’t look like slowing down. For those of you who don’t know me, I was one of the founders of InfoMedix and left three years ago to lead our parent company Object Consulting’s portfolio of green initiatives as the Chief Sustainability Officer. I am delighted to be back in charge of InfoMedix and keen to move our product forward with a range of new and exciting initiatives.

We are also very fortunate to have Michael Coates and Peter Hanway join us from Object. Michael takes on the role of development manager and brings vast experience in product development, while Peter, as Object’s Project Management Practice Lead, adds his project/program management capabilities to further strengthen our services team. Keep an ear out for Peter’s characteristic laugh in the corridors!

Key priorities

One of the key priorities for us has been to bring all our customers up to the latest versions of Clinical Patient Folder (CPF). This ensures that all the latest functionality and enhancements are in live use and contributing to greater patient care. Given the dozens of production sites going through upgrades, it’s a big task, but we are gradually achieving this goal and proud of our efforts so far.

As you would have read in our lead story, we are gearing up for the SJGHC Phase 1 roll out to the Geelong site and we are really excited to be implementing new enhanced scanning software at this site. This promises to give SJGHC huge flexibility in their scanning process and beyond. Whilst digitised medical records are now well accepted by public hospitals, SJGHC is a great example of how CPF can deliver all the same benefits to the large private hospital networks.

New projects

We have numerous new projects on the go and a continual stream of sales enquiries and RFT responses. We are currently looking to strengthen strategic partnerships and leveraging Object Consulting’s Microsoft Gold Partnership.

Another exciting project that we are all looking forward to is the Phase 1 go-live of e-Referrals at Eastern Health. Keep an eye out for a more detailed article on this soon! At the same time we are in the planning stages of Phase 2 e-Referrals. Again, watch this space for updates.

All in all a busy time at InfoMedix but a happy and exciting one.
